Description
Last year, Kentucky Youth Advocates worked in collaboration with child welfare stakeholders (including relative and fictive caregivers) getting feedback on the common issues they faced when first involved in the system. To learn more about what we heard, see the compiled report here: https://kyyouth.org/lessons-learned-from-navigating-the-system/
Throughout 2024, KYA is sharing this information with current and former child welfare-involved persons, as well as professionals who serve them, through informational and discussion sessions. We will also present developed resource cards addressing rights, navigation, and support needs.
If you are a current or former kinship caregiver, run a support or advocacy group, or provide mentorship, then please watch! This recorded webinar will explore the common themes heard during focus groups and provide action steps each of you can take to advocate for yourself and others and to find and share resources. Kinship caregivers and those who support them are not alone!
