Description
“Parenting with PRIDE: The Power of Positivity” is designed for foster and adoptive families, emphasizing the principles of Positive Parenting to create a nurturing, supportive environment. This training covers strategies like Praise, Reflection, Imitation, Description, and Enjoyment (PRIDE) to strengthen family bonds, encourage healthy behaviors, and foster resilience in children. Join us to explore how the power of positivity can make a lasting impact on your family relationships and well-being.
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Apply the foundational principles of positive parenting, focusing on the PRIDE approach (Praise, Reflection, Imitation, Description, and Enjoyment) and how it fosters healthy, supportive relationships between caregivers and children.
- Explain strategies to enhance their communication with children, emphasizing praise and positive reinforcement to build self-esteem and strengthen emotional bonds.
- Understand how positive interactions and reinforcement can encourage resilience and confidence in children, especially in foster and adoptive contexts.
- Apply PRIDE techniques in real-life situations and know how to use positive reinforcement and reflection to navigate daily challenges and support the child’s development.
ASK-VIP trainings are expressly designed to meet the needs of foster and adoptive parents.
