Description

Keeping kids safe online seems to become more and more difficult as technology continues to change.  Between all the new apps that allow texting, chatting, and private messaging, it seems like a never-ending task to try to keep up with the latest trends and technologies.  While this technology allows us even more ways to communicate, it seems it also allows kids more opportunities to be harmful or experience harmful situations.  Even more concerning is that it is becoming increasingly easier for kids to hide their online experiences, making it more difficult for caregivers to understand and protect their kids.

Join us as we explore ways in which we can better understand how to monitor your child’s online experiences with national speaker Lisa Honold, founder of the Center for Online Safety! Through this webinar, provided by a nationally recognized consultant with the Center for Online Safety, we will learn ways that we can better monitor what our children are doing online and therefore, better protect them from harmful influences. You won’t want to miss this opportunity!

About the Trainer:

Lisa Honold is the founder of the Center for Online Safety, a national organization that encourages parents, caregivers, teachers and communities to be intentional in creating relationships with children and teens, especially around technology. Lisa believes technology is a great thing, but it’s important to start kids off with “training wheels” online and to stay involved with their tech use.
