Presenter Bio
Stacey Jackson, LMSW, holds a Master of Social Work from Temple University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Chestnut Hill College. Jackson is currently a therapist at Drexel’s Caring Together Program, a women-centered addiction treatment program, where she provides psychotherapy, biopsychosocial assessments, trauma-informed care, and substance use interventions for women with complex clinical and social needs.
Ms. Jackson brings over two decades of professional experience spanning behavioral health, education, community-based practice, and public service. Her clinical background includes work with at-risk populations, individuals with substance use disorders, trauma histories, serious mental illness, and families impacted by systemic inequities. Prior roles include school social work, emotional support counseling, and community mental health services, contributing to a strong interdisciplinary and systems-oriented perspective. Her scholarly interests center on health equity, cultural responsiveness, and leadership-driven systems change in healthcare. Jackson’s doctoral capstone examines mandated cultural competency training in healthcare, with a focus on its implementation through licensure and organizational policy. Her work advances a theory-informed institutional framework grounded in transformative learning and structural competency, emphasizing accountability, measurable outcomes, and community-informed training models. Through this work, Jackson aims to strengthen the role of social work leadership in advancing equitable and sustainable healthcare systems.
