Presenter Bio

Robyn Houlihan, LCSW, DSW Candidate, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience in social service and mental health practice. She currently serves as a Senior Social Worker in a community mental health program in Brooklyn, New York, where her responsibilities include intake assessment, crisis intervention, clinical supervision, and research. Committed to staff well-being, Robyn also volunteers as a peer advocate and postvention specialist, supporting hospital staff and clinicians after unexpected client loss due to suicide or other traumatic events or personal hardships. Robyn is a Doctoral Candidate in the Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Leadership Program at the University of Kentucky. Her research interests focus on workplace mental health, gender equity, and organizational policy. Her capstone project examines how workplace policies support women during menstruation and menopause. Through this work, she developed the H-FRAME Model (Houlihan Framework for Responsive Accommodation of Menstrual and Menopausal Equity), a theory-informed framework grounded in humanistic and feminist theories and in organizational justice and guided by inclusive and transformational leadership principles. The model is designed to promote psychologically safe, gender-equitable workplaces through responsive human resource policies, stigma reduction, and staff education. Robyn’s academic achievements have been recognized through her induction into the Phi Alpha Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Her professional and scholarly work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing equitable workplace practices and holistic mental health support.
