Presenter Bio
Minuette Trumpy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work in 2014 and Master of Social Work in 2016. She is a Doctor of Social Work Candidate at the University of Kentucky with a concentration in Clinical Social Work. Mrs. Trumpy is the owner and clinician of an outpatient mental health practice, where she provides psychotherapy to individuals aged 16 and up using trauma-informed, strengths-based, and evidence-based approaches. In addition to direct clinical work, she provides clinical supervision for APSWs, with a focus on clinical skill development, ethical decision-making, and preparation for independent licensure. More recently, she has served as an adjunct professor and MSW field liaison at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI.
Her professional experience spans outpatient mental health, clinical supervision, and social work education, allowing for an integrated understanding of how training, supervision, and continuing education influence clinical competence. This intersection of roles informs a practice-driven scholarly focus on improving the consistency of quality of trauma-responsive care across outpatient mental health settings.
Mrs. Trumpy’s research interests focus on advancing trauma-informed care through clinical competence, effective supervision, and ongoing professional development. Her doctoral capstone project examines the effectiveness of continuing education in preparing licensed clinical social workers to deliver trauma-informed care in outpatient mental health settings competently. The project reframes continuing education from a compliance requirement to a practice-based system designed to strengthen clinical capacity, support clinician sustainability, reduce burnout, and improve consistency of care for clients.
