Description
The HOPE Leadership Model: A Trauma-Informed Framework for Organizational Change in Nonprofit Settings
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this conference, participants will be able to:
- Analyze the implementation paradox in trauma-informed organizational change, identifying how traditional hierarchical leadership practices create barriers to authentic cultural transformation despite policy adoption.
- Apply the HOPE Leadership Model’s four integrated components to address critical gaps in leader healing, power redistribution, and sustainability within nonprofit social work contexts and evaluate administrative leadership practices using multi-level theoretical frameworks to distinguish between superficial compliance and authentic implementation fidelity.
- Design practical interventions for nonprofit-specific challenges, including executive healing circles, peer-led cultural audits, participatory governance restructuring, and distributed leadership development that operationalize trauma-informed principles through tangible administrative mechanisms.
