Description
Clinical supervision is a crucial aspect of social work practice that ensures ethical and competent service delivery. The goals of clinical supervision are to improve the quality of services provided to clients, enhance the skills and knowledge of social workers, promote self-awareness and self-reflection, and provide emotional support. This live interactive training (via Zoom video conferencing) meets the 3 hour requirement of the Kentucky Board of Social Work for licensed clinical social workers who are current supervisors for CSWs in Kentucky.

- Review legal and ethical responsibilities of LCSW supervisors in Kentucky.
- Foster a supportive supervisory relationship that promotes professional development
- Identify the principles of ethical decision making

Instructor
Shericka Smith, DSW, MSSW, LCSW was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky and is a mental health coordinator for Fayette County Public Schools. Shericka obtained an undergraduate degree from Transylvania University where she studied Spanish and Psychology. She then went on to the University of Louisville, earning her Masters in School Social Work. She recently obtained her Doctorate in Social Work and is teaching classes at the University of Kentucky. She also provides mental health counseling at a private practice she co-owns, Wellness Within, working with people of all ages.

You must attend the training in its entirety and complete an evaluation form. Attendance will be verified using Zoom attendance reports.
