Supporting Sleep Health for Medically Complex Children and Adolescents
with Dr. Kristina Decker, PhD
Healthy sleep plays a pivotal role in mental, emotional, and physical development and well-being for children and adolescents. Children with complex medical concerns commonly have sleep difficulties that benefit from attention and intervention to improve their quality of life and help them thrive.
Dr. Kristina Decker is a pediatric psychologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics. She specializes in treating sleep problems in children and teenagers including insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, sleep-disordered breathing, and parasomnias (e.g., nightmares, sleep terrors).
