Pediatric Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyle

Given the combination of diabetes diagnoses and general struggles with health, it is important to understand weight management and health for medically complex children. This session will contain information regarding general health and wellness, details concerned particularly with medically complex children, and information about when to seek medical assistance for weight and health issues.

Dr. Folsom is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics with an Associate appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville. She is board-certified in both adult and pediatric endocrinology, and provides endocrine and diabetes care for patients of all ages. She has a special interest in easing the transition from pediatric to adult care for patients with type 1 diabetes and other chronic endocrine conditions.
