Presenter Bio
Kieara Judd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Doctoral Candidate in Social Work, with a concentration in Leadership and Administration at the University of Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Chemical Dependency Counseling from Morehead State University in 2017 and a Master of Social Work from Campbellsville University in 2018.
Ms. Judd’s capstone project is focused on examining trauma- informed supervisory practices in substance abuse settings, with a focus on addressing occupational and psychosocial effects for direct- care providers. Her research seeks to advance scalable, evidence-based, trauma-informed frameworks and tools that will promote staff well-being and improvement in organizational culture.
Ms. Judd currently serves as a Chief Clinical Officer at Journey to Healing, a residential substance abuse program, where she provides executive- level clinical leadership. In this role, she oversees clinical operations, supervisory structures, and program development initiatives designed to promote ethical practice, sustainability, and high- quality care delivery.
Ms. Judd is a strong advocate for individuals impacted by substance- use disorders and recovery systems, bringing practice- based insight into her academic and administrative work, because of her own personal journey with addiction. Her deep and personal commitment to continue to advocate and initiate changes is only further motivated by her role as a mother to two beautiful daughters, Remi and Cora, and her dedication to contributing to a more compassionate future.
