Description

Breaking the Silence: Youth Suicide Prevention through the Zero Suicide Framework in Educational Settings

Presentation offers a comprehensive overview for addressing the crisis that is youth suicide within educational settings. Youth suicide is a significant public health concern that requires the prioritization of suicide prevention efforts. The Zero Suicide framework emphasizes a systematic approach, which aims at creating a culture of care where suicide is viewed as preventable, and every life is valued. Drawing upon the evidence based Zero Suicide framework, participants will explore strategies to identify at-risk students, provide effective intervention and support systems, and foster a culture of mental health awareness and resilience within schools.
By tailoring this framework to educational settings, educators, counselors, and administrators will be able to identify the unique needs and challenges their schools and students face, understand the critical components of Zero Suicide, and the importance of adaptation in educational settings to implement proactive prevention strategies and create safer, more supportive environments for youth mental health. pinnacle
