Kinship Support Focus Group #4-Building Healthy Family Relationships – COMING SOON!
Julie Johnson, LPCC
Thursday mornings at 10 am
This group will focus on the components of building healthy relationships with birth parents and extended family members. This can be a difficult area of relative and fictive kin care, but, it is an important one! Navigating how to establish positive boundaries and develop healthy relationships with birth parents or extended family members of the children in your care, will promote a more open and positive communication experience for the children and for yourself as the caregiver. Having these positive boundaries can be instrumental in providing for the child’s stability, care, and healing! Please note: this group is open to caregivers who are caring for children in family arrangements (without CPS involvement) or for families who have temporary/permanent custody of their relative or fictive kin children and will capped at 12 group members.
