Description

Raising kinship children in today’s world of technology with instant messaging and social media platforms can be very confusing and challenging for many Kinship caregivers.  Understanding how to monitor what children are doing online, set privacy guidelines, and supervise who they communicate with, is an essential part of keeping children safe online while allowing them the freedom to use some of these social platforms is an important part of parenting in today’s culture.

If you are interested in learning how to better understand and navigate this virtual world, including how you as a parent can effectively monitor your child and educate your child about being safe and responsible online, then please join us on August 30, 2022 from 6:30 pm – 8 pm EST as we learn about virtual safety from Cyber Safe Teen, an organization designed to educate families about safe online practices.  As former police officers, this group trains parents and caregivers on better understanding and supervising their child’s internet exposure.

About the Trainer:

Cybersafe Teen can help children and their caregivers navigate serious issues such as Sexting, Cyberbullying, Online Predators, and Social Media fueled Mental Health Disorders through educating children and caregivers to make safer and smarter decisions regarding their engagement with social media.  Cyber safe Teen seeks to teach families to have a more responsible and mature relationship online and in-person.
